Featuring: William Alan Webb / Bill Webb

Bill Webb blames his childhood running with a pack of werewolves for his joie de vivre; those
guys know how to party! Growing up in West Tennessee didn’t hurt, either, where the long
summer nights were the perfect environment for a boy to play basketball, ride his bike, and
watch fireflies under the oak trees. Except during a full moon, of course.
Books have been essential to him since early childhood. Not simply eating them, but reading
them, too, and later, writing them. Nor was he discouraged when his high school Spanish teacher
took away and ripped into pieces a copy of X-Men, on the flimsy excuse that Bill was supposed
to be reading his textbook.
His first attempts at writing fiction came after discovering the usual geniuses…Heinlein, Robert
E. Howard, Roger Zelazny, Tolkien and Fritz Leiber. Creative writing courses in college set him
back a few decades, but eventually, he forgot what he’d been taught and, in 2016, Standing The
Final Watch became the first in a lengthening line of best-selling novels.
