Creative visionary Lucas Leverett has been called the “Archgeek of Nashville” due to his role as a founder and chief executive of several area popular-arts events, putting Tennessee on the map in the genre. Mr. Leverett masterminded the framework for the first non-profit organization for the “geek arts” – ArtsCubed – which produced two weekend festivals, MTAC and GMX, for over 15 years. He led the acquisition and revitalization of the Nashville Zombie Walk, twice, and co-founded the hugely-successful Nashville Mini Maker Faire. He joined the on the board of Hypericon event in Nashville, revitalizing the event as Creative Director and tripling its attendance in just two years. He continued as a producer of the Nashville Mini Maker Faire, served as a contributing writer to Zombies In My Blog with his column, The Stump – which has now been spun off to its own blog. He currently continues his years of service in the leadership committee of TEDxNashville and produces the Nashville Zombie Walk and is entering into the realm of content production in geek culture realm. His lifelong fan-loves include Transformers, Batman, and Star Trek, on which he maintains subject-matter expertise, in addition to his portfolio of successful “geek brand” projects.
